Jets 6-9 @ Browns 10-5 CLE-7.5
Flacco was a Jet and he could have been again if they gave him a call. He’s the glue for the offense right now and has a great repport with Cooper. That’s a big number to cover though.
Pick: Browns, Jets cover
Lions 11-4 @ Cowboys 10-5 DAL-5.5
Cowboys are a whopping 7-0 at home and Lions are 6-2 on the road. 52.5 o/u so points are rightfully expected on a stand-alone Saturday night game.
Pick: Cowboys, Lions cover
Patriots 4-11 @ Bills 9-6 BUF-14
Woof two full scores seems huge for the Bills. Especially since three of the Pats wins have come on the road. That being said, the Bills have covered that spread five times and the Pats have lost by more than 14 three times.
Pick: Bills, Pats cover
Falcons 7-8 @ Bears 6-9 CHI-3
The Bears are 3-1 the past month and have a winning road record. The defense has allowed more than 20 points three times in the past eleven games after the 0-4 start. Falcons are averaging less than 20ppg and have are 2-5 on the road. Bears just look better right now.
Pick: Bears cover
Raiders 7-8 @ Colts 8-7 IND-4
Colts have been blown out two of the past three weeks while hanging in the playoff hunt. Raiders are working in after two straight wins. The Raiders defense has been important for the team with how atrocious the passing offense has been. I think the Colts win but Raiders defense stay in the thick of it.
Pick: Colts, Raiders cover
Rams 8-7 @ Giants 5-10 LAR-6
LA is 3-4 away and winners of 5 of 6. NY is 3-3 at home losers of two straight. Tyrod Taylor might provide a more consistant offense in terms of picking up first downs with his scrambling ability and he hit a big play to Slayton last week. The Rams have been elite quite frankly, but I think the Giants linger.
Pick: Rams, Giants cover
Cardinals 3-12 @ Eagles 11-4 PHI-12
Cards have gotten thumped three of the last four times out.
Pick: Eagles cover
Saints 7-8 @ Buccaneers 8-7 TB-2.5
Tampa’s offense has hit another gear in the past few weeks. Three straight wins and big performances by Baker Mayfield and the offense have put them in position to win the divison. The Saints continue to beat bad teams but the best win on the season so far is at Indy, so a victory here would be the best on the season probably. I like the hot Bucs.
Pick: Bucs cover
49ers 11-4 @ Commanders 4-11 SF-14
An opportunity for Purdy to steady himself.
Pick: SF cover
Panthers 2-13 @ Jaguars 8-7 JAX-4
Jags have lost four straight including two straight blowouts. I’d rather not see this discusting team win the divison or in the playoffs as coach, QB, and previous defensive progress have come into question the past month. This team is still further away that it is close to being a reliably great team. Changes may be coming this offseasons.
Pick: Jaguars, Panthers cover
Dolphins 11-4 @ Ravens 12-3 BAL-3
Ravens in another rager. A loss and the narrative is that no one can maintain the intensity for multiple weeks. A win and they’ll be the best team in the league officially.
Pick: Ravens, Dolphins cover
Titans 5-10 @ Texans 8-7 HOU-4
CJ should be back but full health has to be in question after two weeks out from a concussion. Texas have been great at home and the Titans horrible on the road. Titans could pull an upset with the Texans run game questions and offensive nicks, but the rookie of the year should come through.
Pick: Texans cover
Steelers 8-7 @ Seahawks 8-7 SEA-4
Mason Rudolph was solid last week and the defense rolled the Bengals and picked it off 3 times. The Seahawks are 5-2 at home and won two straight. The Seahawks will allow the Steelers to move the ball and they’ll have the ability to limit the Seahawks.
Pick: Seahawks, Steelers cover
Chargers 5-10 @ Broncos 7-8 DEN-3.5
Denver has the better roster and maybe the better QB in backup Jarrett Stidham who has a few starts under his belt.
Pick: Broncos….cover?
Bengals 8-7 @ Chiefs 9-6 KC-6.5
I’m not picking the Chiefs to cover may spreads with how they’ve been on offense. I think Bengals will struggle to move the ball.
Pick: Chiefs, Bengals cover
Packers 7-8 @ Vikings 7-8 MIN-1
Jalen Hall back under center for the Vikings. He had success in his brief time and can move the ball against the Pack defense. Can Love cash a big win on the road against the better defense. I say….
Pick: Packers
