Saturday, January 6th
Steelers 9-7 @ Ravens 13-3 PIT-4
Birds are likely resting the starters with the #1 seed locked up. Steelers are fighting for a playoff spot. We know the Ravens crush preseason action with backups and this is still a home rivalry game. Huntley is capable under center, let’s not give the Steelers too much credit.
Pick: Ravens

Texans 9-7 @ Colts 9-7 HOU-1
CJ is 8-5 as a full-time starter. Last week he eased in with light work against the Titans. With both teams fighting for the playoffs he’ll have to elevate his play on the road this week. It’ll be exciting to see the Texans in the playoffs if they can make it.
Pick: Texans cover

Sunday, January 7th
Browns 11-5 @ Bengals 8-8 CIN-7
Browns are locked into the #4 spot and the Bengals are out of the picture. A rivalry game with nothing on the line for either squad.
Pick: Bengals, Browns cover

Vikings 7-9 @ Lions 11-5 DET-3.5
Lions are still in the mix for seeding and the Vikings season is over after the collapse last week. Hard to believe they’ll show up this week even with a QB change.
Pick: Lions cover

Jaguars 9-7 @ Titans 5-11 JAX-5
Jacksonville needs a win to wrap up a division title and guarantee a playoff spot. A loss could be disastrous. Too back they’re playing one of the better coached teams in the league even if the personal is taking a beating. Jags ended a four game skid last week against miserable Carolina, but I’m not sure they’re going to just wax a Titans team that’s been competitive outside the Houston loss last week where Levis went down. If he’s back we could see an upset.
Pick: Jaguars, Titans cover

Jets 6-10 @ Patriots 4-12 NE-2
Billy B’s last game as a Pat? Jets defense is still the better unit but the Pats got the better of them in Week 3.
Pick: Pats cover

Falcons 7-9 @ Saints 8-8 NO-3
Winner needs a Bucs loss to make playoffs but both are still alive. New Orleans has been above .500 at home and the Falcons 2-6 on the road. Birds have lost 3 of 4. Saints have won 3 of 4.
Pick: Saints cover

Buccaneers 8-8 @ Panthers 2-14 TB-4.5
Bucs aren’t out of it yet. Panthers don’t have any reason to lose with their 1st round pick going to the Bears. The defense has also looked solid at times. I expect a Baker bounce-back from last week.
Pick: Bucs cover

Bears 7-9 @ Packers 8-8 GB-3
Chicago finishing near even after a 0-4 start is incredible. They’ve won 5 of 7 with two 10+ point 4th quarter comeback losses at Detroit and at Cleveland the only failures. So they’re real close to seven straight wins staring at eight to end the season. Pack has won two straight games, both on the road and 5 of 7. They’re probably still going to be banged up. I like the Bears for a stunner in the rivalry to end on a high note and start the Caleb Williams debate.
Pick: Bears

Broncos 8-8 @ Raiders 7-9 LV-3
Raiders want to win and are 5-3 at home. Broncos are more concerned with Russell Wilson’s contract in a lost season.
Pick: Raiders cover

Eagles 11-5 @ Giants 5-11 PHI-5
When does it get better for Philly? Can they beat Tyrod Taylor again? The Giants are the Eagles only victory in the last five games. It was the closest loss in a three game skid for the G-men.
Pick: Giants

Seahawks 8-8 @ Cardinals 4-12 SEA-2.5
Seattle is still in the playoff mix somehow. They’re not goo but should be able to beat the Cards. That being said, the Cards four wins: Dallas, Atlanta, @Pittsburg, @Philadelpha great wins.
Pick: Seahawks cover

Chiefs 10-6 @ Chargers 5-11 LAC-3.5
A real suck game. LA has been horrible and KC has had issues. With the #3 seed locked into place the Chiefs will rest guys. This will be gross.
Pick: LA, Chiefs cover?

Rams 9-7 @ 49ers 12-4 SF-4
A great game on paper. Both teams will be resting with playoff spots locked up. The Rams have less depth but more young guys out to prove themselves. Could be interesting.
Pick: 49ers, Rams cover

Cowboys 11-5 @ Commanders 4-12 DAL-13
I believe seeding will still be on the line for the Cowboys at this point. The Commanders don’t have much going at all.
Pick: Dallas covers

Bills 10-6 @ Dolphins 11-5 BUF-3
If the Bills win they take the division, if they lose then no playoffs. What a wild scenario. The Dolphins can jump all the way to 2 or drop all the way down to 6. This game really matters for both squads. The Fins can’t stay healthy although Tyreek Hill returning would be huge. I’m thinking the Fins screw things up for the Bills.
Pick: Dolphins

Projection:
AFC
#1 Ravens (14-3)
#7 Buffalo (10-7) @ #2 Dolphins (12-5)
#6 Texans (10-7) @ #3 Kansas (10-7)
#5 Cleveland (11-6) @ #4 Jacksonville (10-7)

#1 San Francisco (13-4)
#7 Seattle (9-8) @ #2 Dallas (12-5)
#6 Los Angeles (9-8) @ #3 Detroit (12-5)
#5 Philadelphia (11-6) @ #4 Tampa Bay (9-8)

That means all AFC playoff teams have double-digit wins. 10-6 Bills, 9-8 Colts, Steelers, Bengals all out.

NFC-all teams with a winning record get in. Three teams less than 10 wins: Rams, Seahawks, Buccaneers.
