Patriots 2-10 @ Steelers 7-5 PIT-6
Three straight games holding opponents under 10 but the Pats still can’t win. Now they’re playing a Steelers team with probably no Pickett who left last week with a boot. Make it four in another god awful TNF.
Pick: Steelers cover
Buccaneers 5-7 @ Falcons 6-6 ATL-2.5
Ugh, the AFC South. The Bucs managed to slop it up with the Panthers last week in a poor performance while the Falcons win against the Jets 13-8. Falcons are 4-2 at home and Bucs 2-4 on the road. Both defenses are ahead of the offenses.
Pick: Falcons cover
Lions 9-3 @ Bears 4-8 DET-3
Detroit’s defense still isn’t good and a quick start was almost spoiled as the Saints climbed back into the game last week. Bears are coming off a bye at home and figure to be a good challenge especially after the game two weeks ago. I’m calling the upset.
Pick: Bears
Colts 7-5 @ Bengals 5-6 IND-1
Wow did the Bengals surprise on MNF. A great offensive game plan kept drives alive and the defense got after the bumbling Jags. Over 300 yards for Jake Browning and a great scamper. The Colts have won four straight and have a solid roster outside of the QB spot. This should actually be a decent game.
Pick: Bengals
Jaguars 8-4 @ Browns 7-5
No line yet with Trevor Lawrence injured and out of the game against the Bengals. CJ Bethard is the backup. The Jags are 5-0 away and the Browns 5-1 at home. Cleveland is obviously banged up and was shredded by the Rams. This could be a toss-up.
Pick: Browns
Panthers 1-11 @ Saints 5-7 NO-5.5
Saints looked bad last week but mounted a come-back against the Lions. Derek Carr shouldn’t get booed at home this time.
Pick: Saints cover
Texans 7-5 @ Jets 4-8 HOU-6.5
Who wants to be QB in NY? Zac Wilson seems to have concerns. Aaron Rogers isn’t realistically coming back. Tim Boyle sucks. Trevor Siemian has somehow looked worse. Houston continues to ascend to a dangerous team that found its way to a win over Cleveland despite a bad game last week.
Pick: Houston cover
Rams 6-6 @ Ravens 9-3 BAL-7
LA’s skill group is cooking and able to really move the ball. Ravens are coming off a bye at home but the Rams will be a test.
Pick: Ravens cover
Vikings 6-6 @ Raiders 5-7 MIN-3
Both teams coming off a bye. A QB that’s been with his team a month and with limited weapons is favored on the road. What does that say about the Raiders situation? I think the Black Hole has a few more weapons on offense if Aiden O Connell can get them going.
Pick: Raiders
Seahawks 6-6 @ 49ers 9-3 SF-10.5
This line is crazy but the 49ers have but dominate coming out of the bye. Brock Purdy in the MVP discussion? Wild. Seahawks offensive weapons are plentiful so they can hang in with most teams but I’m not predicting it here.
Pick: 49ers cover
Bills 6-6 @ Chiefs 8-4 KC-2.5
KC getting beat at home continues to show the inability to move the ball on offense. The Bills are coming off a bye and an opportunity to get after a banged up KC defense.
Pick: Bills
Broncos 6-6 @ Chargers 5-7 LAC-3
This is gross. The Chargers have been so inapt at anything. The Broncos have been winning off of forced turnovers. I actually think the Broncos are the better team right now.
Pick: Broncos
Eagles 10-2 @ Cowboys 9-3 DAL-3.5
The Eagles we scrapped last week and head to Dallas to wrap a brutal stretch of games. Dallas still needs to show they won’t fold in big games. Let’s see if they can do it with the Eagles beat up.
Pick: Dallas, Eagles cover
Titans 4-8 @ Dolphins 9-3 MIA-13.5
This line is outrageous…..and it’s hard to not imagine the Dolphins covering. Henry might be out and Will Levis can push the ball downfield but I don’t imagine the offense being very productive. Tyreek Hill for MVP.
Pick: Dolphins cover
Packers 6-6 @ Giants 4-8 GB-6.5
Pack is hot and Love looks good. The Giants are coming out of a bye and should be ready with some kind of offense to at least cover this huge line.
Pick: Packers, Giants cover
